South African Gumboot from the Taratibu Youth Association Steppers

The Taratibu Youth Association Steppers, a dance company from the D.C. area, show off powerful footwork that sound out traditional African rhythms.

They danced this traditional South African Gumboot at the 2012 Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
