  • Hua'er Folksongs on Love and Longing

Hua’er folksongs, often about love and longing, are popular in Gansu and Qinghai provinces, along China’s Silk Road. Hailing from these regions, Kong Weifang, Cairang Zhuoma, and Suonan Sunbin demonstrated the genre at the 2014 Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
