Oysters, shad and Atlantic white cedar...does that sound like fun to you?
At the 2004 Smithsonian Folklife Festival's "Water Ways" program, kids had fun with tonging oyster shells, watching shad
food (plankton) through a microscope, and trying their hand at decoy carving.
Have fun learning more about these three Mid-Atlantic maritime resources here! These games and activities will introduce
you to the "Water Ways" on-line exhibition and beyond if you want to explore further.
